When We Get Good Again has just been named a Finalist for Bloomington Playwrights Project’s Reva Shiner Comedy Award Contest out of nearly 1000 entries. Hitch was just named a Semifinalist for Seven Devils Playwrights Conference (id Theatre Company, NY), McCall, Idaho; Put Asunder, which premiered last year at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, has just been selected for the Boston Theater Marathon on May 19. Here There Be Pirates will premiere this summer at Barn Theater in Montville, NJ.
When We Get Good Again has won the Playhouse on the Square's (Memphis) New Works @ The Works competition and will receive its world premiere there in January 2020.

The University of Miami (Ohio) Theater Department will produce a workshop production of When We Get Good Again in October, 2019.

Monologues from Dead And Buried and A Brief History of Penguins and Promiscuity have just been selected for Applause Books' 2019 Best Monologues. A monologue from Salvation has just been selected for Smith & Kraus' Best Men's Monologues 2019. When We Get Good Again has just been named a Finalist for the NewWorks@TheWorks Playwriting Competition at Playhouse on the Square, Memphis, TN, and will receive a reading on Dec. 4. Dead and Buried, just published by Dramatic Publishing, is slated for two productions next year, in the U.S. (Dreamcatcher Rep) and Estonia. (Details to follow here soon.) Typhus in Wartime will premiere as part of Simpson College's Annual Festival of Short Plays, Indianola, IA, April 12-14, 2019.

James McLindon is a member of the Nylon Fusion Theater Company in New York. His play, Pooka, premiered last season at The Tank in Times Square, produced by The Blockheads. Comes a Faery was developed at the O’Neill National Playwrights Conference, Sean Daniels directing and was a finalist for the Humana Festival. It was premiered at the New Ohio Theatre, produced by Nylon Fusion Theatre Company. Salvation was premiered in New York by the Hudson Stage Company, directed by Giovanna Sardelli, to critical acclaim in the New York Times and elsewhere. It received a second production at the Nuance Theatre in New York. Faith premiered at Local Theatre Company in Boulder, CO. Dead and Buried, was an O'Neill semifinalist and premiered with the Detroit Rep. Good and Faith were both winners of the John Gassner Memorial Playwriting Award. Distant Music, is published by Dramatic Publishing and has seven productions, most recently at the Stoneham Theatre in Boston. His plays have been developed and/or produced at theaters such as the O’Neill NPC (selection and six-time semifinalist), Lark, PlayPenn, Victory Gardens, Irish Repertory, CAP21, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Seven Devils, Abingdon, hotINK Festival, Samuel French Ten-Minute Play Festival, Local Theater Local Lab, Telluride Playwrights Festival, Emerging Artists Theatre, Love Creek Productions, Prop Thtr, Lyric Stage, Boston Playwrights Theatre, Colony Theatre, Theatricum Botanicum, Circus Theatricals, Great Plains Theatre Conference, and Arkansas Rep. Four of his one-act plays have been produced at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and two at at the Samuel French Festival. Six of his plays were Finalists for the Actors’ Theater of Louisville’s Heideman Award. His plays have been published by Dramatic Publishing, Smith and Krause, Original Works Publishing (Dusk), and Level 4 Press.
