Pleased to announce that War Dog will have its fourth production at the Boston Theater Marathon in April-May and my new play, Family Justice, will premiere at the Snowdance 10 Minute Play Festival (streaming begins on February 19), one of seven plays selected from the 547 submitted, followed by a second production at the Lakeshore Players 17th Annual Ten-Minute Playwriting Contest. A monologue from When We Get Good Again will be published in Smith & Kraus Best Men’s Monologues 2021. Hitch has just been selected as the winner of the 
NEWvember New Plays Festival in Dublin, Ireland. When We Get Good Again won Ostrander Award in Memphis for Best Original Script. Big thanks to the director, cast and crew as well as Playhouse on the Square for a tremendous job bringing that play to life. The Thin Veil: A Pandemic In Five Zoom Calls will receive its second Zoom Production as part of the 1st Irish Festival in New York, Winter, 2021. Hitch also won the Firehouse Center for the Arts New Works Festival. When We Get Good Again has also just been named the winner of the New Words at New Deal's full-length play competition and will receive its third production in New York this fall. The play will also receive a reading next May as part of Silverthorne Theater Company's Theater Thursdays reading series. Distant Music will receive a full production this November at Actors Community Theater of Seymour this November.  Choices will have its tenth production at the Aurora Theater in Hong Kong at its COVID & Cigarettes Zoom Festival next month. Late Arrival will premiere in October at the Las Vegas Little Theatre Ghost Light Stories, the Pumphouse Players Autumn Spooktacular, and the Davidson Community Theatre's Boos and Brews Festival.

Hitch has just been named a Finalist in B Street Theatre's 2020 New Comedies Festival! Smith & Kraus has just selected three monologues from Hitch for publication in the Best Women's Monologues of 2020. Choices has been selected for Little Fish Theatre's 18th Annual PICK OF THE VINE short play festival, the Silverthorne Theater Company’s Short & Sweet Festival of New (tiny) Plays, the Winding Road Theater Eight 10s in Tucson 10-minute Play Festival, Theatre One Productions Slice of Life New Works Festival and Delta Center Stage's short play festival. Social Distance will be produced in Hong Kong on July 11 (July 12 U.S. time).

Put Asunder will be produced at Short+Sweet Dubai and Short+Sweet Sydney.

I Don't Know will be recorded as a podcast by Next Day Theater Parabasis in Washington, DC, coming summer 2020.

James McLindon is a member of the Nylon Fusion Theatre Company in New York. His play, When We Get Good Again, won the Playhouse On The Square's New Works @ The Works competition and premiered there this past January, where it won the Ostrander Theater Award for Best Original Script. Comes A Faery was developed at the O'Neill National Play Development Conference, Sean Daniels directing, and was a Finalist for the Humana Festival. It was premiered at the New Ohio Theater by Nylon Fusion. Salvation was produced in New York by Hudson Stage Company, Giovanna Sardelli directing, to critical acclaim in the New York Times and elsewhere. Distant Music, published by Dramatic Publishing, has had ten productions. Dead and Buried, also published by Dramatic Publishing, has been produced by the Detroit Rep, Dreamcatcher Rep, U. Miami (Ohio), and most recently Apollo Kine in Tallinn, Estonia. One-Acts Broken, I Don't Know, Put Asunder, and Fightbook, were produced at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival; Laying Off and Knuckleheads were produced at the Samuel French Festival; and Broken, Safe, The Wilderness, Ebenezer Creek, Japanese Schoolgirl Night, and Squirrelly were finalists for the Heideman Award. Many of them have been published by Smith & Kraus and Applause Books in their Best 10-Minute Plays anthologies. Although he makes his home in Northampton, his plays have been produced in New Yorik, Chicago, Los Angeles, Boston and indeed all over the United States as well as England, Scotland, Ireland, The Philippines, Hong Kong, Dubai, Singapore, Estonia, Luxembourg, and Australia.
